God is your hope.

What is your favorite thing about being a child? Like what do you miss? 


“Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.”

Mark 10:15 ESV


how we can live with childlike faith. 


To have faith like a child is to blindly trust the goodness, care, leadership, and provision of a father. Jesus continually called his disciples to a lifestyle of surrender and trust in him, but never so simply as in 


Mark 10:13-16. Scripture says,

And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.


What do you believe in when you are a child? 


What do you stop believing in as you get older? 


Be honest with yourself. How many of you believe that God loves you? 

How many of you believe God loves you so much he sent Jesus to die for you? 

How many of you believe God forgives you when you mess up? 


Those seem to be easy examples of faith in God. Right? 


What areas do you struggle with in having childlike faith? 


Do you believe God is a good father? 


Does God stop being a good father? 


Whether it be by a lack of revelation, impatience, fear, wrong teaching, or past experiences, we so often fail to have faith that God will shepherd us to his perfect plans.


God is calling you to a greater lifestyle of childlike faith. He is calling you to place your trust in him alone for your finances, relationships, future, past, and present. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” 


Where do you lack faith?


“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7


Can you do life alone? 

“One’s pride will bring him low, but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.” Proverbs 29:23


“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you.” 1 Peter 5:6


There are times when we need to say I am sorry. That is repenting. Saying sorry to God is simple. Ask him to forgive you when you mess up. 


Remember, God tells us to come to him like children. 

The bible is written so that you can read it on a 5th grade level. 

It is not meant to confuse you. 


God is a good father. God to him. 


Let's go something new. Prayer is important. Let's do prayer request tonight. 

2 or 3 we can pray for. 


God wants you to go to him. We can pray for each other as well.
