Saluki downtime may 12, 2025

I want to thank you for who you guys are in my life. Patience with us and accepting all the guest dinners.

Truly means a lot to us.

Really love you guys and I am thankful and proud to call you friends.

Draw with the numbers 1-10

Turn the number into something

You can start as something and be anything you want to be

What are you called to do?

1. If you hate it that’s not it

2. If you love it and don’t care what they pay you to do it

That’s it

Galatians 5:16-25

Galatians 5:16-25

New International Version

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Have you ever struggled with what you like to do? Or like this verse says the desires of your flesh?

What could the desires of your flesh mean?

17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[a] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

The flesh and the spirit fight against each other.

Flesh - world

spirit- Godly

How many of you feel like its a good thing that the spirit and the flesh fight against each other?

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Which one do you struggle with? Think about this?

If you live like this - choose to live like or not choosing to live different is also choosing to live like this - says you will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Who believes this?

Why?

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

I always get asked how do I know what I am called to do. The answer is here.

Read 22-23

Verse 24 - Read

If you belong to Christ you are called to crucify the flesh. Your passions and desires cannot win the battle with your heart, mind, or in your actions.

Verse 25 - Read

If you know God loves you and believe He sent Jesus to die for you, you live by the spirit. You have that. Now its your job to keep in step with the Spirit.

What does this statement mean to you?

How do you know what you are called to do?

1. If you hate it that’s not it

2. If you love it and don’t care what they pay you to do it.

3. die to the flesh - live by the spirit.

Can we get serious today?

What does Jesus mean to you?

If you don’t know you can start now.

Write it down
